· All students should continue to work hard to improve on your grades. It is not too late to improve and have the high grades that you expect. Just a reminder of our district mission to graduate all students’ college ready and prepared to succeed in life!
· Today marks the beginning of Black History Month. Our very own Mr. Adams will give a brief history announcement every morning during this month.
· Beginning this week, we will be randomly “ wanding” students with metal detectors. This is being done in all the high schools in Bridgeport for security purposes. This is a new procedure and students are responsible to be in class by the 7:53 a.m. bell. If you are not in class by time, you will receive detention.
· This is national No Name Calling Week. We all must support this by making every possible effort to be respectable to everyone, not only this week, but for every day to come!
· Vulgar language is being used too frequently by our students throughout the school day. This type of behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated!
· Please do not leave your jackets or books or book bags in the classrooms. Once the doors are closed, you will not be able to retrieve your belongings.
· All Students must have a photo ID daily for security purposes and your safety. Those students who are not wearing one will receive detention! If you lost your ID, you need to pay $3 for a new one. This will be strictly enforced!
· A continuous reminder to all students that if you are “seen” with any hats or electronic devices, you will be asked for them. Also, no card playing in school.
· A reminder to all students: If you can not make your scheduled detention day, speak with you house principal for a Thursday or Friday detention.
· Any student, unless you are in an after school activity or sport, you are to leave the building at dismissal. The late bus is provided only for detention and those students participating in after-school activities.
· Let’s keep our school clean! Please do not walk around with any food or drink. Additionally, some of our neighbors have been complaining about the trash outside of the building. Let’s keep our area and Bridgeport clean…Don’t litter!
